I've been reading here for a while, and decided to give a little something back to the community. It's a great new way to Demonstrate Higher Value that I've been using recently to pretty good success. Take a look and let me know what you think, or how to improve.

This works best in a bar/club situation, but I've used it in house parties as well, all you need is to have already have a basic rapport or conversation with someone before using this, which works in large sets, or one-on-ones.

The idea is that you point out someone in the area who is holding a drink and breakdown how they hold it reveals lots about their personality. Point out or list some examples and bring it back to the girl, I'll give you an example of how I used it recently:

  • Me: "Hey, you see that guy in the corner?"
  • HB: "What? That creeper who keeps staring at me?"
  • Me: "Yeah, I knew he would be like that the moment I walked in here, I could tell just by the way he held his drink."
  • HB: "Really? No way!"
  • Me: "Yeah for sure, you'd be surprised how much how holding a drink will tell you about someone. For example..."

Here is where you list an examples you see in the room, or if there are none, just straight up list some.

  • "-That person holding the drink across her chest is very defensive and protective.
  • -The guy who takes short sips loves to be part of the conversation, never wanting to miss out with a mouth full of booze.
  • -Fun loving person, loosely holding the drink with fingers wide apart.
  • -Aggressive/Alpha Male, holding his bottle by the neck, like a weapon."

At this point, the HB or set should be all over you- women tend to love little things like this. Odds are that the HB will play the game with you, pointing someone out, and asking for an evaluation. Better yet, they will ask you to evaluate you on how they hold their glass. If she doesn't, do so yourself

  • HB: "What does my drink holding say about me?!"
  • Me: "Now now, a little needy, aren't you?"
  • Good opportunity for a neg*

At this point, I've done a few different things, but my most successful so far has been just glazing her over with some generalities they like to hear (fun, spontaneous, etc), but you really need to judge it from there. This is also a good point to really kino her up, by touching her fingers on the glass, and even her arm.

In short, this is beneficial for a few reasons, the first being that all of this body language stuff is legit, I'm not pulling this out of my ass (I'll try and find some sources tomorrow). Knowing this sort of body language can help you in your game. Secondly, women love these little things, which are in the same vein as the Best Friends test, for example. Talking about this can steer the conversation towards attraction and sex, which is a great way to frame the rest of your interaction with the HB. Just don't forget, as with all DHV's, don't overuse it, or else you will just end up as a clapping monkey.
