I'm a recovering TFL'er who got bullied a lot. It seems to me that alphas bully betas because

  1. they are conditioning themselves to be dominant i.e. "lifting weights" for their psyche, tonality etc.
  2. Defense mechanism - offense is the best defense (and a necessary defense because men compete for women - you either screw over the other guy or you get screwed yourself)
  3. "Deflection" i.e. guilt relief - antagonizing betas makes them feel less guilty about screwing over betas
  4. Pleasure

Does that sum it up?
