Something I've been working on lately is how I present myself and how I engage with other people, whether it's in conversations with like-minded individuals or in arguments. I was raised to always be hyper-courteous of others, but to a fault, to the point where I'm bait for others to walk all over. I'm trying my damned hardest to fix that.

This is a conflict I had with a woman - one I'm not interested in - but she's objectively attractive and I want to make sure that my frame of thinking is correct for future interactions with women in general.

Quick recap: at a party, sober, playing pong against guy and girl. Girl, who's a friend of mine, decides to get on her knees and jiggle her tits up and down to try to distract my teammate, then does the same to me. Some 20 mins later, she says something about me being "dad, but not daddy yet," as a joke. I joke back "well, if I'm not daddy, why'd you flaunt your tits back there?"

She got extremely offended, and my gut reaction was to say sorry for the comment, which looking back, I think was a huge mistake. I gave her the advantage even though I literally just said what she did, and she turned around, walked away, and bitched about me to a mutual friend. I don't care too much about that specific interaction, since I think that's not how friends should handle disputes and it was entirely inappropriate of her to just walk away instead of talk to me, but I want to make sure it doesn't belie a deeper misunderstanding of women, which I've been prone to in the past.

Do y'all think the way I handled this and/or am looking back on it is wrong? How would you, who are more experienced with women and interpersonal psychology, have handled it?

Thanks in advance for all y'all do.
