Recently started up in seduction, so I'm still learning. Here's was the rise and fall of my latest prospect.

TLDR: Took a co-worker out a few times. Each time interest was building, but mostly friendly. Last date, I made move for romantic; got the "just friends" speech. Fine. Setup plans for more friendly things, get stood up 4hours before meet up. What are my chances?

Met a girl from work, she was cute, funny, and smart; so of course I was attracted. I'm not much of a group person, so our activities were mostly 1-on-1.

Here's what I thought was a IOI. Something happened to our work building, so I reached out to the team to see if I could join someone to co-work somewhere. Girl reaches out saying I could work from her place. (Monday). I gladly accept and think about the situation. Seemed like a perfect fantasy set up, but I kept my composure cause I had a ton of work to do.

I get to her place, we work and there are some signs. Not very direct though. I didn't make any moves either, because work. We end the day, and confirm that it worked out well so we go for Day 2. I go home, think about the day; notice there were some signs, and decide to make moves the next day.

Day 2: I get total friend vibe. Probably blew it yesterday, but whatever. She's fun to talk to and at the very least would be an awesome friend. So I make plans for an end of week celebration. She just moved into the area too it seems, so my plan was to explore some bars and hitup the happy hours.

Day 3 & 4, we join the rest of the team somewhere. Day 5, we work together from Starbucks. We end the day by going to some bars, find a really good one and stay for 2 hours. Chatting is really nice, but mostly friendly. Day 5 (Friday) ends. I reach out later that night and said that I had a good time and we should hang out more. She reciprocates.

Saturday I reach out and say we should go dancing. Last conversation she surprised me with saying that she enjoys it. So I setup another plan, to pregame at her house for 2 hours; then go dancing the rest of the night. Ideally I could seal in those 2 hours, and the dancing would be a bonus.

I get there with Bourbon and Gingergale, and the friendly fun starts immediately. We get some drinking games going, and we're having a good time. It's still all very friendly, some light hand touching. I think it's going naturally good, nothing forced. We end a pretty rough drinking game that had us right at our point. Roommate comes home.

The mood quickly changes to super-friend mood. We entertain the roommate too in conversation. Roommate offers to give us a ride to the place, I declined and uberred out of there. Sadly, not too much progress on the drive.

I went out Sunday, because last Sunday it was packed. Figured it would be the same. Negative. It's beyond dead. The place we were going dancing: had us and 3 other dudes. I quickly walk us out of there. We head to the bar around the corner, order some drinks and hit up the pool table. Again it goes well, we enjoy our conversation but I really need help on sending more than a friendly vibe.

Game ends, we get some info that Wednesday would be way better. I keep that in the back of my head as we walk to the next bar. The next bar, I considered was the last bar. So I made moves. I tell her I find her attractive, she reciprocates. We engage in conversation about relationships, she seems surprised. I think in her mind, she saw me as friend-only. She still keeps up though, so I have hope.

We drive back to her place. It's kind of awkward, but I go the full 100% for the kiss. The difference for me between a friend and a potential gf/fwb is the chemistry. I find both attractive, fun to be around, and engaging. I needed to now how that kiss felt. I was glad to see that there was indeed something there...at least for me. I felt like she was just being polite.

Either way, I got a no go. A it would be better to "just be friends". I crash on the couch.

I thank her for her hospitality in the morning and GTFO. I haven't talked about the kissing.

Anyways, Tuesday I checkin and decide to make further plans. Everyone is into Poke-go these days, so I plan for us to go downtown again, visit some hot spots, then go out dancing (tip from Sunday). She responds positively. I'm ecstatic to have not scared her off, and that at the very least have found an activity buddy.

Today I check in around 3, we're suppose to meet at her place @8. She replies back that she's got a going-away dinner tonight that she forgot about. I respond: "Understandable and lame." I was bummed to now have to go solo, but whatevs; I've gone solo plenty of times.

I also tell her, that if she wants to do something again that she should reach out. I figured since I've planned 3 separate get-togethers that she should plan the next. Would be a completely different story if it was a romantic interest, I'm fine being the man and setting everything up. But for "just friends", I feel there should be equal work.
