While there's a grain of truth here, he's relying on an extreme situation of celebrity life, without explaining or perhaps even understanding a lot of what's at play there.

Confidence, and even cockiness can be very attractive. Though often if this is a fake bravado with not enough emotional maturity or real confidence underneath, then the attraction will fall apart when the girl gets closer or spends enough time around the guy.

And even this fake sort of confidence can get a guy somewhere, but the problem is that the fake stuff will repel girls who are healthier and on the ball, but attract girls who are basically offering an unhealthier interaction.

There's something problematic about the examples the guy was using though.

Celebrities do have a lot of options. But because of those options, looking at celebrities actually shows what happens when someone has to deal with constant unsolicited approaches and attention being forced on them.

P.Diddy freaking out when the waitress touched his shoulder? That's a lot like how girls act when they have their "bitch shields" up. And in both situations, you have someone coping with the reality that people aren't going to respect their space and will violate it for something they want.

This doesn't give some truth that one has to act like an asshole to get girls. It shows how people harden up when they have constant unwanted attention being forced on them. It's assbackwards to say that them being assholes is what attracted all the attention. It's the other way around, actually.

Confidence is important, but using celebrities to try to prove that is problematic because much of this example leads off with suggesting that someone can be more attractive by simply being an asshole, without the money and celebrity status that guys like Bieber or Diddy have that actually leads to much of the unconditional attention they get.
