Opinion openers are very interesting to me, but I've barely ever used them because I'm not sure about how to properly execute them. DO you preface them with something? Or just immediately start telling them the situation you want their opinion on?

It seems to me that unless I say something along the lines of "Can I get your oninon on this..." or "Tell me what you think about ..." or "Excuse me, what do you think ..." then the target(s) will just be like "who the fuck are you and why are you talking to me"
