What's it like to have a hot tub as a bachelor?

It is a pain in the ass to wait for it to get warm if you don't want to pay for it to constantly be hot (which you do, if you can afford it).

You have to invite the naked girls over, dude. Do you know any girls that want to get naked? Did the hot-tub come with naked girls included?

I had one in my house senior year of college, and it was amazing, a pain in the ass, and totally worth it overall. We had several parties and the hot tub got plenty of good use. Plus is was indoors, which made it even better. You do have to clean it regularly, as it can get pretty nasty after a night of use and especially after a party, and it can be expensive to keep on since it sucks a ton of energy. The only other downside is that you sort of have to plan when you want to use it. If I knew I was going to bring a girl back from the bars I'd have to turn it on before I went out since it takes over an hour to fully heat up, which is why it's really best for parties. However, it got me laid more times than I can count; if you're sitting in a hot tub with a girl you can't not hook up with her.

Outdoor lighting is important, one motion activated light near the door is good, and you want to make sure that lights are not shining directly over the pool if at all possible.

Hottubs are awesome if you're having a party, or a girlfriend, but that's about it.
