On TRP there is a stat that is often brought up that Men commit suicide at a rate of 3-5:1 compared to women. I started looking into this today and almost all studies on suicide seemed to be in consensus that while men are more successful in their suicide attempts, women actually attempt the act more often than men. The discrepancy in success seems to come from a difference in methods used. Men preferring more violent methods compared to women choosing to try and OD.

So my question becomes: Are we choosing to ignore the other half of the statistic at TRP to advance our own victim hood? Or can someone justify why these psych evaluations are biased?
