I apologize in advance for a crappy FR..this is my first one.

So I'm taking a 2 weekend course at a school that's not mine. On the first day I didn't know where to eat during our lunch break so I asked a HB8 where I could get food and she told me of a place. I left the room to start trying to find it, but I realized I had no idea where the hell I was going so I kind of stood around like a moron and when she walked by I asked (not verbatim) "hey are you going to get food?" "yea, im going to <food place>" "Can I join you?" "sure". So I had lunch and coffee with this girl I believe is way out of my league. Pretty standard conversation, and fortunately no awkward moments/silences that I'm so accustomed to. I don't think there were any IOI's though, and I don't think I made the conversation that interesting or funny. We didn't really talk much after lunch so that was the end of that, and we all went home when class ended.

The next day, I wasn't really sure what to do..she got to class late and even though she walked by me to get to her seat, I didn't make a point to say hi or anything. So i didn't talk to her all day (this session was shorter and there was no lunch break, so that's partly why) and now I'm thinking it might be a lost cause. I'm also having trouble figuring out if I should be more aggressive because I felt inviting myself to lunch with her was already very forward, and the interaction seemed forced. At the same time, I'm thinking I need to overlook that aspect and assume she enjoyed the company and proceed with that mentality.

Did I screw up any future opportunities by not striking up conversation today?

If I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten IOIs, should I keep trying?

Should I just make it obvious that I'm interested even if she's not?

I'm good at this class (I think I got the best score on one of the tests) should I ask if she wants to study even if we don't live that close?
