Currently visiting NYC over the weekend, and wanted to work on some daygame approaches since this city is full of beautiful women.
I was in central park and saw a cute girl staring at her phone, looked a bit confused like she didn't know where she was. I approached and told her she looks a bit lost but that i was too (not true, i knew where i was). Turns out she was a 19 year-old girl from Thailand, and her plans were to go to Walmart in New Jersey to get some snacks to bring back to her friends when she went home. I shit you not
I teased her about that being a horrible idea - who would want to spend a Friday night in NJ at Walmart rather than having fun in NYC. It also turned out it was her last night in the city. Language was a bit of a problem, her english wasn't great, but after a bit of chit chat i said to her "i've already had ice cream today but i have an appetite for some more. let's go get some." she agreed and we walked about 15 minutes to the nearest ice cream place
I asked about what she liked about the USA, what she wanted to be when she grows up, and her family. Turned out she has 2 sisters and she was the youngest in her family. I told her i usually got along well w/girls that were the youngest. Also told her wouldn't it be funny if my brothers ( i have 2 ) met her and her 2 sisters and we all fell in love. She had a laugh at that
We eventually got ice cream and i started to ask about more intimate topics - i asked her what her first kiss was like and to my surprise she said she had never kissed a boy before. I was pretty shocked but i teased her with yeah, i've never kissed a girl before either...I told her about my recent trip to Japan and she was intrigued and said she wanted to go. she complimented herself on her bravery at one point, as it took courage to meet up w/a random stranger and go for ice cream together. I was like yeah that was cool. I asked her if she knew why i approached her and she was like 'because i looked lost' and i was like 'not really, i thought you were cute.' her reaction was kind of defensive to that
I was meeting up w/my brother for dinner and so i walked her to a bus stop that would take her back to her hostel - she mentioned getting together with some other Thai people that she met to hang out in Times Square, which i wasn't really interested in. At the bus stop, i told her i wanted to kiss her -i ordinarily would just go for it but with such an inexperienced girl i didn't want her first kiss to be some dude launching himself at her. She was too shy/nervous whatever and it didn't happen, but we left it with a hug. I told her to text me later if she wanted to hang out. Later i texted her asking her if she was having fun at the walmart in jersey, she texted back no i didn't go lol, i texted her one more thing that she didn't respond to
What i did well:
- Went for the instadate. I'm new to daygame and have definitely had opportunities to do this in the past and wasn't enough in the moment to think of it
- Lead. Decided to go for ice cream and figured out how to get there and didn't deviate or show hesitancy. She started to cross the street as a car was coming and i reached out and held her back
- Body language/eye contact. I never really have a problem w/eye contact, but sometimes my body language is too eager.
Areas for Improvement
- Kino. Very minimal her, i might've touched her on the arm once or twice. As we were walking our arms brushed a couple of times. had i escalated a bit more i think she might have kissed me
- Since language was a barrier, i could've showed her some pics on my phone or IG to demonstrate value. I had to repeat myself a lot as she didn't understand what i was saying a good portion of the time
- I've been thinking of incorporating more 'game' techniques on dates recently, like the questions game, strawberry fields, or the cube. They're fun and silly and revealing about people's personalities. But i didn't think of any of this at the time
