Today, out of the blue, my ex/fwb texted me (we had a 2 yr relationship, then a brief fwb phase). As I'm still trying out my texting game, I'd love to hear suggestions on the current situation. Right now, I'm just controlling tempo and not responding because her text was a bit overreaching.

Her: Hi Respect, is this your number?

Me: Yep

Her: Yay! Are you back in Boston?

Me: Maybe maybe. It depends on who this is (:

Her: Nada, just lucy

Me: lol which lucy? the cute lucy or the ugly lucy?

Her: the really ugly chick from X bar

Me: you spelled cute wrong. I thought you would have learned how to spell by now

Her: hahaha So are you in Boston?

Me: Yes! But I'm in hiding ** here I should have gone more direct?

Her: fine. but don't tell me later I didn't try

Me: Try harder because I want to see you **wow went super direct

Her: No. You're gonna have to take it or leave it..

Before, she was short fuse and invested, responding every 2-3 minutes while my response times have varied from instant to 15 minutes. I haven't responded and it's been an hour now.

Anybody want to run an experiment? Throw me some text ideas and I will post her response.
