I feel funny writing this, since it should probably be in /r/AntiSeduction. Most questions here are about how to create attraction, not kill it. Anyhow...

The female in question is, for more reasons than one, not what I am looking for. She is in my social circle, which means I need to be careful not to make things any more uncomfortable than they need be.

She's been texting me non-stop since last night, and it is probably my fault for answering them all, and not ignoring her - but I guess I fooled myself in to thinking that "Maybe she is just like that."

Example text messages:

-- "I'm just trying to get to know you better and the type of things that you like to do etc. :) That may sound creepier than I intended."

-- "Have you heard/read the book about the 5 love languages? Do you know what ones you would be?" [they are: gift giving, physical touch, quality time, acts of service]

-- "I know that physical touch and quality time are the two big ones for me."

Maybe I'm reading this wrong. Maybe girls, that are not attracted to you, enjoy telling you about their "expression of love" preferences. Probably not though.

How do I make this go away nicely? General answers also appreciated; this is not the first time I've felt awkward about saying no.

tl;dr - How do I make a girl that likes me, and is in my social circle, stop pursuing me?
