The most frustrating part about it is...I'm a pretty good catch. I'm a medical student, play in bands, generally considered funny, decent-looking (I'm no Brad Pitt but I've had plenty of girls call me "cute"), etc.

Attracting good-looking women hasn't always been hard for me. In the past, I was always kind of popular in social situations because I have really good comedic timing. Girls would notice this and admire me from afar before being introduced to me. That made things so easy, as I didn't have to try to "prove" anything.

Now my situation is completely different. I don't really have any good friends in the city I moved to and I'm not a part of any social circles. I don't have that social affirmation anymore, and it's caused me to lose a lot of the confidence I once had. I simply am unable to attract good-looking women without that reputation. From what I've learned here so far, girls are not impressed with me in the least if they don't sort of know me in a social context. The 3 or 4 girls that I have managed to get on dates have ignored me after the first date. What the fuck??? How the hell do I get these girls to realize I am someone worth their time? I'm kind of getting desperate and I think girls can sense this desperation, making things 100 times worse.
