I just read on the latest OKCupid blog that music was one of the best "common interest" we could come up with in a discussion.

I also remember my friend, who is completely mad about this girl because, according to him, she's the one. I don't really why she's the one, he talks about her a lot, and something that frequently comes up is that she also listens to "metronomy" this band that no one knows except her.

I know common interest are an extremely good thing to talk about on a first discussion to create rapport. I was interested about what you guys think about "music" being the best one to use.
