SUNDAY

I woke up Sunday and posted my last FR before heading out of town for a concert. Just before leaving, I received a text from the HB9 to whom I thought I'd shown too much interest:

Me: How was your night? [Mutual friend] asked where [HB9 nickname] was and I told him we'd get together another night this week. 12:57 PM

HB9: It was alright. Just chilled. But for sure 5:40 PM

I have honestly been too busy to respond until now, and am in the process of verifying a Day2 with an HB8 on Thursday. I may double book HB9 with the HB8, because this particular HB8 has flaked on me 3 times in the last few weeks. I'm not sure how I feel about intentionally double-booking, but this is still at least 4 days away.

SUNDAY NIGHT

I went to a concert in another city on Sunday night with the intent of just enjoying myself and not picking up anyone. Originally it was an opportunity to hang with one of my wings, but he had to bail so I went solo. The show was fantastic, but as I was walking out an HB9 and an HB 6 overheard me on the phone looking for the after-party. After they threw a comment my way, I went with it and bantered until I found myself driving them home.

SUNDAY LATE-NIGHT

Once the HBs were home, they invited me in. We all went up to their apartment, which was actually their friend's apartment as they were also from out of town. We started chatting and shortly after HB6 went to shower. Meanwhile I stayed with HB9 and continue flirting. (..I think it has become second-nature now.)

We continued for quite a while and started sharing photos of the concert. In the process, we went through our photo albums with each other. She saw a picture of me holding an HB10's boob in a funny picture taken a few weeks prior on a separate trip, and I offered to take the same picture with her. Away we went!

We stood in the kitchen, with me copping a feel for a photo, when I looked at her and told her to plant one and pointed to my cheek. She responded readily, during which we snapped the photo. Unfortunately it was only from the neck up so I told her we had to do it again to get her boobs. She happily obliged and gave me the "KISS ME" eyes. I considered it, and in retrospect should have made the effort, but ruled it out as I was not ready to end the night and had a 4+ hour drive ahead of me. (Yes. FAIL!)

We continued conversing until HB 6 returned and said she was going to bed. Shortly after this, I invited HB 9 to come out with me, but she said her debit card wasn't working. (A true statement as observed earlier that night.) In this scenario, she didn't want to go out without her friend. We #-closed, and I don't think I'll ever see her again due to distance. However, I told her I had fun and we decided to try to catch up at a future concert.

FOLLOW-UP

  • How often does Seddit double-book? If often, how do you play off flaking to the loser without dropping her entirely?
  • How does Seddit recommend proceeding with HB9 at the top of this FR? I have already telegraphed a LOT of interest in the last FR with so many texts, but have at least 4 days to bridge while trying not to let the attraction die down. I considered involving [Mutual friend], but he is extremely unreliable in this situation and would be best if introduced AFTER a Day 2.
