One mistake you made was putting her first over your friends. You made the night about her by ditching your friends to be with her. This is a low-value maneuver, because your friends are more important to you than some girl you met at the bar 10 mins earlier.
By texting her again later, you made your night revolve around her. I suspect that a lot of your attraction came from you having fun with your friends. When they left, you may of gotten a little needy around her.
When she asked for your number, did you give her some hoops to jump through first? By being so compliant and keeping the party around her, you lost your alpha position.
When you left to catch up with your friends, did you keep opening sets? Or did you just sit there thinking about that girl?
Alternatively, there may of been other factors that were just out of her hands.

I think you're overthinking this. Do you think she would leave her friends just to avoid a guy? She probably just felt like going home for whatever reason. Maybe she had too much to drink or maybe she had work the next day.

Hoops are simple things you ask a girl to do for you to make her think she is having to earn your respect.
Examples would be: Qualification questions (e.g. Are you smart? She say blah blah. You say wow cool.) Asking a girl to move Any sort of stupid test
I never out right do something for a girl. If she asks me to get her a drink, I make her earn it.

I've found most recently that over-texting in general is a bad idea. I think you were borderline in this case. There's no need to tell her that you arrived at your destination after just telling her in person where you were headed. You need to care just a little less and put your phone somewhere that you'll feel it vibrate and FORGET about it. All too often I've been guilty of the constant phone checking waiting for a girl to respond etc. Next time give her the number, call to check and leave her on a positive note (kino and smile, hug, kiss). Hot girls expect you to text you and be at their feet and although it seems small you fell right into her trap. If you had left it alone you might have had the same outcome (i.e. she ditched you) but you'd have at least carried on your night normally and not have been on the lookout.
