Went out last night with the intent to sarge a bit. I was at an event designed for singles, with a purported 50/50 ratio.

Got 3 numbers, 2.5 kisses (not including those achieved at the spin-the-bottle event), and could have brought someone home, but elected not to.

I had 3 approaches which panned out, a fair amount of immediate blow-outs, but anyone that I was able to talk to for more than a few minutes seemed to be successful. From this, I developed a few questions.

1st set: Opened on accident, thought I recognized a girl as she walked by, grabbed her arm, and talked to her. Her group offered me a drink (declined to keep a clear mind). Got her number later in the evening.

The take-home question from this: What do you do when there's a set you've opened, and you're not sure which girl you're most interested in? I felt like picking one particular girl to zone in on would potentially alienate the others, who I'd also be interested in if choice A wasn't interested in me.

2nd set: She pretty much opened me. I'd seen her around, but hadn't talked to her. Got her number, k-closed, and sent a text a few minutes later, to which I received a reply later that evening.

3rd set: Made my wing ask another friend "How did THAT happen?". She walked by, stumbled into me, and we talked for a while. I told her I wanted to kiss her, she said "Do it". Proceed to making out, grinding on the dance floor, etc.

Take-home question: How do you eject from a set like that without alienating the girl? Ended up staying with her until the group was ready to leave, but I would have liked to try to open at least a few more sets. Is it as simple as saying "Hey, I'm gonna go meet more people. See ya around!"?

The final question that I had for myself was, was my relative success last night the result of the atmosphere (everyone there knew everyone else was single), or was it due to my change in attitude? Time will tell!

tl;dr: How do you choose who to pursue from a set of girls who are all attractive? How do you eject without causing her to lose interest? Edit: Also, I'm tall... how do I hear in a loud environment without leaning in?
