3 stories of mine about the importance of looks in the field, to motivate my fellow recovering AFC's (plz excuse my not so flawless english) :

  1. A Friend of mine, a HB8,5 who works as a climbing instructor told me about this male co-worker of hers who is "really super hot", who apparently had been into her for a really long time, because one day he just came up to her and kissed her. She just walked away because as she put it: "it was kind of intimidating". So she stayed away from him, but about a month later, he did it again. This time she just laughed and said to him: "you already did this, why did you think it would work better this time?".

To state the obvious, this story shows that good looks ain't worth shit if you don't have game.

  1. This happened to me at school, when i got introduced to this girl, i won't write HB cause she wasn't, but she was about a 2-3 on the scale. Thinking she would never be a target for me, I just relaxed and talked friendly to her (i'm usually more self-consious when meeting possible targets). We really hit it off and i was happy i had made a new friend that day :) we continued hanging out, joking around and i guess kind of flirting 'til the end of the week, when we both got invited to a party friday night. as I arrive at the party, the guy who introduced us comes up to me saying "watch out for that girl i introduced you to the other day, she's got game, and she's going to get you in bed if you're not careful." And thats when it first appeared to me, looking back, that she had snuck (?) under my radar, gaming me all week!

I know this says more about me being a superficial douche than anything else, but it shows that not being that good looking just helps you sneak under the radar, something that could make your game a whole lot easier.

  1. This is my story. I am what they call a late bloomer, and that kind of crushed most of my self-asteem through my early teens. I got introduced to Seddit about a year and a half ago, when i was halfway through puberty at a age of 16. I had never thought girls were an option for me, so i'd never really paid much attention to the way i looked, and i'd spent most of my time as a 13-15year old in online gaming, even though i was never any good at it. So starting what the americans call High School i think? (we have a different school-system where i live) i thought i'd get my life together and start seeing people, trying out some game. The new school gave me a fresh start, everyone being more including and nice than at my old school, and i soon discovered that paying attention to my posture and appearance really paid off. About half a year ago, as i finished puberty, i'd gotten a lot taller and i'd gotten rid of my "baby-fat", and people actually started to comment on how good i looked. Everyone from my HB7 lesbian friend (and wingman) and her HB9 girlfriend, to my grandparents at family dinners. I didn't have much game though, still getting used to a normal social-life, so even today, even though knowing i'm good-looking boosts my self-confidence a bit, i still have AA and lack of self-confidence, and i'm very much of a recovering AFC.
