I've been in a relationship for just over 4 months, and I'm noticing myself fall back into some habits that I've previously defeated - the biggest one I've noticed is that I feel that her and I should be spending a lot more time together, and when we're not hanging out I'm not spending my time productively. I'm starting to identify myself through my relationship rather than through my own interests. This is not good.
We live together, so it's not like we don't see one another a lot in the first place... I'm not sure what I expect to hear from you guys, but I do know that I'll feel better if I just get it down on here... maybe it can serve as advice for some of you guys in the same situation.
Anyways... I'm familiar with that loss of self, as it's happened in previous relationships (before I spent time getting my head straight) and I know the pitfalls associated. I've got a great relationship, and I obviously don't want to mess it up by showing signs of neediness, and lack of motivation, which is what I'm starting to see in myself. It's been something that I've worked on in the past - I'm typically an outgoing, charismatic person but it's something that I've had to work on.
This is certainly still in it's early stages, so I guess this is just me trying to check myself by getting it out. Thanks for being a soundboard, seddit.
