I can't imagine this working in my mind unless you're in good state and really projecting that whatever you have in store for her is worthwhile.

I use variations on this often and it works great. I don't really wait for a response though I just plow forward like they obviously want to meet my friends.

"Hey have you met my friend X? He's SINGLE LADIES! (said in cheesy voice)" Seems to work really well and gets them being playful and playing matchmaker with my friend.
