alright, that snowboarding analogy really got to me. intuition, balance, and muscle memory can only come from hours of dedicated practice, no matter how much theory and instruction you read and digest. i've put countless hours into snowboarding in order to hone my skills and attain the kind of cliff-dropping fun that i always wanted as a teenager, but here i am feeling frustrated that i can't get everything i want out of social interactions when i've hardly put time into the learning the craft.
