I did this writeup for a guy asking if he should admit to a girl that he likes her even if she is his "solid friend" and even if he thinks she doesn't like him.

I though it would be a good beginner level post for this subreddit. I would also appreciate constructive criticism.

"Don't sell yourself short buddy.

First, you need to be honest with yourself and find out if you really see her as a true friend or If you are really attracted to her in other ways.

If you deem that you really see her as a potential partner instead of a friend, you need to really try to seduce her before you can tell she is not attracted to you.

Your main problem is that, right now, she might not see you as a sexual being. She might be used to only being in your presence without any seduction going on.

You need to change that. You need to bring up that sexual tension. You need to start being more affectionate, to make progressively stronger inuendo, to make her notice your confidence and your manliness. You can start touching her lightly (slightly on the hand, for example) for her being more and more comfortable with you touching her. You should feel her appreciation of you evolve, you should see that she is more stimulated when you speak, listening more closely, laughing easier, possibly looking more shy when in your presence. When she looks stimulated enough in your presence, you will know it's time to make a move, and as long as you maintain your composure, your sexy cocky confidence, it really doesn't matter how you do the move, because she will be overwhelmed by emotion, and happy she finally gets to kiss you.

If all that doesn't work, and you don't feel like she is sufficiently attracted to you, then you can still make a move. There are plenty of stories of guys misreading signals on reddit. I would try just to get some closure.

Remember that what you really want is her as a SO, not a friend. You should not be afraid of losing the friendship, because a friendship is not what you are after. If you don't try, she will Just be an emasculating reminder of your lack of manliness."
