A lot of the issues that newbie face effectively boil down to trying to please other people. I was thinking about this in terms of trying to be a white knight and rescuing a damsel without expecting anything in return. This is what I wrote up. I hope it helps some newbies realize that living for their own benefit and pleasure is pivotal to being a confident man.

You know how in fairy tales, you've got this damsel in distress, (locked up in a tower, trying to be killed by evil godmothers, etc.), and this guy comes in and saves the day, and the story ends there, implying a happily ever after and the reader's left with the impression that the W.K. saved the girl out of the goodness of his heart and the nobleness of his duty risking life and limb for the sake of honor? Yeah. That's complete horseshit. The story doesn't end there. Most people would like to leave it there, and leave with the feeling that those guys are just good guys.

In reality, what happens is that this guy literally saved her life. She's going to worship the ground he walks on because she owes his life to him. He's going to reap a lot of benefit from saving this chick. She's probably attractive and rich. The idea of taking risk without any type of personal gain is absolutely naive. The idea that she won't give herself up to this W.K. is absolutely ridiculous. He just killed a fucking dragon.

But from the fairy tales, people have derived this stupid notion of the "White Knight" who's completely selfless and does things just to be good and noble, which is just plain stupid. People are selfish, everyone does things for their own personal benefit and pleasure. Now you've got modern day chodes who think that in order to get a girl, they can't be selfish, when in reality the complete opposite is required.

W.K will get cunt, but usually as SECOND choice. He doesn't go home to fuck her, she goes to his house to cry and fucks him. Because The Alpha male rejected them, because she needs to feel safe, because our society and magazines tell her to be with "nice" men and he will gladly take her in, buy her a fucking ring and make her nachos.

Being completely, retardedly selfless.

Whatever you do, everything you do, should bring you pleasure. Suck the marrow out of life.

tl;dr - Confidence is expecting the world to act exactly as you want it to and then not giving a shit when it doesn't.
