I sometimes find it hard to identify neediness so I would like it if I throw some scenarios up and you guys could tell me your thoughts on them, what your choice in the scenario would be or just your opinion.

Scenario 1:

You're in a relationship with a girl. You're busy at work and you would rather not get distracted, you receive an sms along the lings of "baby can you call me :'(" Now assuming you can call without getting intro trouble with your work, is it needy to always call whenever she needs you like this?

Scenario 2:

I was reading about persistence when something like this came up. You're trying to get a girls number but she says "sorry i have to meet up with my friends" then starts to walk away. The suggestion was to not give up and keep trying to get her number until she says no. Is this not needy, shouldn't you be happy to let her go because you don't need her - you already have an abundance of women.

Scenario 3:

A girl (just a friend) often asks you to hang out but when you decline she says things like "oh ill just find someone who cares then." Ok, hanging out with them from this point is obviously needy but if it's someone you want to stay friends with how do you balance neediness with actually doing things to keep your friendship alive?
