So over the last few months after being a bit overweight I dropped some pounds and started working out (I'm only seriously been on a routine/diet for the last two weeks though, and it's great), got some new fitting clothes etc.

Anyway, new uni, new me etc.

First day of class today, talked to a group of people, sort of 'stalked' the girl I found attractive for a couple of minutes until she was alone afterwards.

Now here is where I'm free to receive any help from you guys/gals, I think my approach was a bit off but meh at least I did it, this is the convo:

Sees me, "hi anon, i'm kind of lost to be honest laughs". "Yeah it's my first time being here, but can I just say I find you incredibly gorgeous?" (I wasn't dead serious, had a smile and laid it on less thick than it sounds but still probably very poor/too forward)

Then I continued: "This may be a bit forward, but I'm a man who knows what he wants and quite frankly I want to get to know you, so can I get your number?"

Then she said she had a boyfriend, and that's when it hit me.

I didn't care.

I think I was a bit better with this part of it:

"Oh that's fine, do you want to be friends? Like I said I want to get to know you" "Oh yes! I'd be happy to be friends, so many guys take the fact that I'm unavailable so personally, this is refreshing, here's my number. See you in class!"

And that was that, I came back, worked out, ate and now I sit with a full body empty of regrets :)

I plan on asking out another girl soon, whenever I meet one that is interesting/attractive. Shouldn't take too long :P

tl;dr I asked a girl out, she said no, I still got her number after saying I wanted to be friends, didn't phase me.

btw any help is appreciated, tell me where I went wrong and what to improve upon please :)
