This isn't really a seduction post, but I think this group tends to think alot about these types of issues and I value this communities thoughts on these types of issues.

When I run into someone I think is ridiculous (because of their beliefs or life choices) I become a bit of a caricature of myself and that bothers me. I'll engage them, and point out the positive/cool things "oh wow your a preacher!I bet giving sermons must be pretty cool! All that power!". These are things I'd say enthusiastically in a joking tone, and I'd say them honestly. But my positive and friendly tone would be at odds with my true feelings, which are much more negative about this persons career choice. I filter out the bad to not offend. I really value treating others with respect and not offending others. And on a friday night the last thing I want to do is engage in a serious discussion (whether it be politics or religion or whatever). But I feel by holding back my true feelings or having to filter my thoughts I am being less than sincere. And that bothers me.

I'm curious to hear if others have faced a similar dilemma and how they deal with it.
