Apologies in advance if this isn’t the right forum to be asking this.

I was out at a friend of a friend’s bday drinks a few weeks ago and met this cute chick (let’s call her Cathy) but didn’t end up chatting to her much as I was there to see my buddies. I’d also banged my buddy’s flatmate the previous weekend and it was the first time I was seeing her (let’s call her Fiona) since so wasn’t sure how the atmosphere would be. It ended up being fine (Fiona’s a pretty cool chick who I’ve hung out with a fair bit already).

Anyway fast forward I’ve found Cathy on insta and asked her for a drink but she came back with “I thought you were there to see Fiona, so unsure a drink’s a good idea”. Now it turns out Cathy and Fiona are ex-colleagues so they’re probably friends as well.

My question is is this some kind of shit test? I was going to respond along the lines of “Fiona and I are just friends. You know where I am if you change your mind”
