I don't think anyone in pua suggests you be a callous, unfeeling person. Being in relationships helps us discover ourselves, and what we want out of relationships. I suggest you explore those feelings. You shouldn't become a chode and follow her around like a puppy dog, but you shouldn't fear becoming attached.
