I'm going to open with a quote from Gambler's PUA book 'Natural Game':
"so many women have told me that it is better if the guy is not super-handsome, because it means he is less likely to cheat or to look for someone better. She wants to be the best looking one in the relationship!"
This made a lot of sense to me, and was easier to believe coming from a man who has extensively worked the field! On an intuitive level I have always had this feeling deep down.
Now, I'm new to seddit and don't want to sound like a jerk, but I am a very handsome guy. Even without grooming for days or wearing stylish clothing, I'm still considered handsome, as implied by all the male and female friends I've had over the years.
But, having just turned 20, it isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have a very very difficult time connecting with girls emotionally. Now I'll admit that my game isn't nearly as tight as it could be, but on some level I can sense their heightened caution because they are afraid, as Gambler says, of being hurt by some 'player'. Time and time again I have left an interaction feeling as though I didn't convey enough comfort and rapport to break this feeling within them.
So really my question to you guys is how do you go about creating comfort and disarming girls from thinking you're just another predator? Bear in mind this is a major sticking point for me I think due to my better-than-average looks.
