After not being out in the field trying things for a while(It's more than half a year since last I was in the field). I spontaneously decided to open this girl while I was waiting for the tram. I had previously been to a place nearby were I had a gig(I sometimes DJ at events, etc). Anyways, my mouth was dry as fuck(due to Cannabis and a side-effect of my medication, Concerta), so I see this chick and I think to myself: She looks like the type of girl who would be carrying a piece of chewing gum. Here’s my approach.

Me: Hi, excuse me, but you don’t happen to have a piece of gum do you?

HB8: Yeah I do, actually!

she starts going through her pockets and I feel this awkward silence while she does it, so I come up with a situational thingie. She hands me the gum, I thank her and then say this:

Me: By the way, I’ve gotta ask you a question now that I’ve already broken the ice.

she gives me a curious look

Me: I can see that you’re a fashionable girl and I was wondering if this outfit I’m wearing works. You see, my shoelaces are yellow, and this shirt that I’m wearing under this sweater has this and that color, some random bullshit about contrasts/color theory, blah blah blah.

She compliments it and I take the position that Mystery likes, leaning against something casually, one foot behind placed on the surface you’re leaning against.

Me: You know, isn’t it weird how little people talk to each other in our society? I mean, here we are waiting for the tram, why not just talk to each other about trivial things to pass the time?

Her: Yeah, I really agree. But when I was in the states(I live in Norway and this happened there), people were so much more friendly, etc.

Here I use threading and ask her how people were more friendly and talk about my experience in New York adding in some subtle DHVs

The tram arrives and we get on it. Here I should’ve probably used more kino and lead her to her seat with my hand on her lower back, but I did not think about that at the time. Anyways is gesture to her to sit next to me. We small talk all the way before we go off on the same exit.

I used threading to keep the conversation alive, and also initiated some kino and cold reading(she had her nails done in black with white stripes so I suggested that she could be a person with two sides: a dark and a light side). Finally when we got off I said: “Hey, it was really nice talking to you. I really appreciated it, but if you want to continue this conversation you should give me your number”. I got her number, told her to give me a hug(she complied) and left. I’ll text her sometime next week ☺
