Tell her you are not looking for anything serious. Tell her you just want to have fun. To prove it ask her to places that are the most fun. If you know her favorite music, ask her to a concert.

You can even ask her to do something you know she's never done before - maybe rock climbing, or go carts, anything fun. Then make it all about showing her a good time and not at all about yourself.

She'll be impressed by your selflessness. Her ex was selfish and she needs a break from that.

Something similar. Met a girl awhile back, hit her up a few days later. An hour before we were supposed to meet, she texted me, "I just got out of a long relationship, not looking for anything." I said, "Yeah, that's cool. A guy can never have enough friends."

Got a few drinks, made her laugh a bunch, she went home. Week or so later, same thing. I was genuinely just hanging out because she was interesting enough to talk to and pretty funny. And a guy can never have enough friends. She goes home to study, I stayed out with some friends.

An hour later, I got a text from her that said STOP IT. I said "Stop what?" and she said "Just stop it." I said, "What are you doing? Be at my house in 20 minutes."

It worked.

I know it's all about timing, but I don't want to give up too easily. Don't want to be too aggressive or sound needy to her, but she is one of the finest girls I've met in years, so obviously I'd love to get to know her.
