How do you know that a girl wants to dance with you on the dance floor

I'd probably rather ask "How do I know that a girl doesn't want to dance with you on the dance floor". Just sitting back and looking for a positive IOI such as smiling will be much harder. You might lose out on a lot of girls by doing this. You could be at a club all night and not see any. I'd recommend a classic move from Gambler. It's a great technique and can definitely save you a lot of time.

-Do something that forces a response from her (wave, point and smile, maybe even a head nod or a goofy dance).

-This will give you one of 3 responses. As Gambler says, when you are trying to approach a girl, often the girl will think about whether she is attracted to you before you even talk to her. She will have a million different reasons why she shouldn't engrained in her head. She thinks about whether you are good looking, what their friends would think if they saw you two, what you're wearing etc. However if you do something quick to force a knee-jerk response from them then they don't even have time to think about all that stuff they just have a spontaneous natural reaction. The reaction is either positive, neutral, or negative.

-If its a negative reaction then you don't want to waste your time. Positive is obviously a green light. Neutral is also a green light. If you don't get a clear response then just go for it anyway. Like every other piece of advice on Seddit, assume attraction. It's the only way you can operate successfully.

Other than that I'd say the biggest rule of thumb is if you make eye contact with a girl that's good enough to try. If you make eye contact with a girl twice then you should start dancing with her in the next 5 seconds.

usually with liquid courage, I'll go in and make a very short convo, then proceed to ask. works >60% of the time.
