So, there's a girl at work who moved to a different company, but we still talk now and then.

We've been hitting it off for a few days, but she sent me an email earlier out of the blue, asking how the office was doing without her now and how I was. I'll take that IOI.

Here's what she put:

(SHE brought up the weather by the way as she's in Ireland, so I joked about how isn't Ireland known for its' rain, what was she expecting?)

"The rain is even worse than usual I think, I walked to the shopping center there on saturday and I was so soaked by the time I got there, like proper soaked through 3 layers of clothes I had to buy some clothes to change into in the shopping center....it was ridiculous, I just found some bargain sale rack and bought a dress thing for €7!!!

It's a bit weird here as I work for a different department than everyone else on this floor. I don't think I'd win any awards for being the most sociable person in the office or anything!!!

Someone else is at my old desk!? You know I'm a bit disappointed I thought it would be set up like a shrine for me in my absense...you know like pictures of me all over it, with flowers and candles and what not....actually now that I say that, that would just make it seem like I died, so maybe that's a bit morbid!!! Ah well!!!"

I want to go cocky and funny here, yet don't know quite how to neg her and get her laughing, AND keep the convo going.

Any tips?

I want to neg her over the fact she bought new clothes, how she's "so approachable" when she's actually not really (quite the shield she has, she's no bitch or anything, just hard to get to know), and how she's "not missed" or whatever.
