Hey Seddit! I saw a post about first dates; having a good first date spot is a must in my opinion. I have developed a first date strategy that has worked really well for me with many girls. (I am a senior in at a large university, so this works well in college but could work many other places)

Predate: 1) Over the Course of the weekend I will meet a cute/hot/funny/emo/awesome/whatever girl and get her number. (So be able to #-close!) 2) On Monday I will call them (not text!) and chat with them for at least a few minutes then ask the girl to the same spot every time. (I find that chatting with the girl on the phone for at least 5 minutes greatly increases the chance of her saying yes to the date!)

DATE I invite them to the weekday $.50 taco night at the local bar that i have been going to for 2 years. I like this spot because it is

  1. cool place and EVERYONE likes taco night. (who says no to tacos??)
  2. i know all the bar staff and all the college girl waitresses say hi to me by my first name (DHV)
  3. its close to my place (logistics)
  4. the girl will only buy at most 3 tacos which is only like 2-3$ after tip. (This plays well for 2 reason: 1. its inexpensive for you! 2. its that price range that's cheap enough that girls don't think your are trying to "buy them" but still shows that you are willing to be chivalrous.) Other resturants that have specials on a tuesday/wednesday/thursday work well too probably.

Post Date: 1) after an hour or so of conversation (you have to be able to have that long of convo) I say "hey you cannot stay long cuz i have _, but do you want to come over to see__(insert something you were talking about... be it a cool internet video, movie, the instrument you play, your dog, doesnt matter.)" This sets a false time constraint to make them feel more willing to come back. (i live 3 blocks away). 2) Escalate and do what you do.
