I haven't had faith in this subreddit for about two years now. Sorry, but it has been significantly diluted with nebulous ideas like inner game, confidence building self help crap and people telling themselves they are awesome when they are most definitely average. There is a subreddit for self-help out there, there is one for relationships, there is one for beginner questions. What's this one about?!

The problem is in the scope of the subreddit as laid out in the rules.

The primary focus of Seddit (/r/seduction[1] ) is the study of human seduction. Mainly, how to integrate specific seduction and self-improvement techniques into our long-term personalities and how to succeed at forming successful romantic relationships.

  1. Study of human seduction. (Someone doesn't want to call it the mating ritual even though it has a scientific basis - too mystery method, perhaps?)

  2. Self improvement techniques? (Self help - a massive field)

  3. Succeed at successful romantic relationships. (/r/relationships)

Those are three completely separate and distinct areas for discussion.

They are what TofuTofu wants to talk about because they come from HIS life and so the forum is moderated accordingly. It's not a bad thing because you have lots of people in the subreddit for many different reasons but it ends up with fewer people actually getting sufficient answers to their questions.

The subreddit is called seduction. Not self_help_seduction, not Inner Seduction Game, etc. So we might benefit from narrowing down what we want it to be about.

I'm keen on the mystery method used as a very quick and efficient way to show the best parts of ourselves when we are out in clubs (because we are all busy people and who has the time to chase women over a period of weeks these days?) and also to be entertaining while we're at it and I think there is absolutely no good reason for it to be taken out of the beginner section of seddit because that's where all of the fundamentals came from. Too many people come and trash the mystery method when they can't explain or just don't know if they're being effective at seducing a girl they really want and they don't know how to proceed with her even though she desperately wants them to nail her right there and then!

Of course there are many other methods under the banner of seduction.

That being said there is plenty of room to touch on other areas and every other topic but with a core discussion of seducing women. (If TofuTofu et al. want to talk about seducing men to accommodate the odd woman who runs astray here, then so be it.)

After two years of scanning this sub, there has never even been a questionnaire about the wants and needs of the various posters and lurkers. The sidebar is too big and vague. The Rules and guidelines are too numerous and long. 10 clearly written points maximum should be all that is required.

There are many reasons for coming to seek advice on seducing women. Some guys want one-night stands. Some want many partners at once. Some want marriage. Some want a string of long term relationships. Some want to fuck models. Some want to talk to the cute geek barista(baristess?) in their University cafe. We can't help all those people with one set of advice or one technique, so part of the rules should be that the poster identifies what they're here for at the start of every post. Like "asl" but for seduction.

A little while ago there was a big self-congratulation about getting 100,000 readers. Well that's 100k users who are getting confused advice.

This is my tuppenceworth. I'd be grateful for other input.
