I’ve been a Settidor for about a week now, but have read a couple topics including the book The Mystery Method. I’ve been trying to put on my confidence shoes lately, and pictured running situations through my head numerous times. Today at school, I finally stepped out of that AA mindset where I’d make no excuse to talk to this girl.

It was around my lunch time during school. I attend a small school so everyone seems to know each other. A buddy and I were walking around during our lunch period when I had spotted this girl I found attractive, keeping in mind when it comes to approaching a girl I have some AA issues. As I continued walking with my friend the bell had just rang for 3rd period. I let my friend know this girl is cute; he gives me a pep talk firing me up when randomly he pushes me into the crowd to get going. I call her name she turns around and asks “What’s up?” I replied with the “Probably doing what everyone else is doing walking to class” she giggled at me, I walked her to class and closed by asking “You seem pretty cool we should talk again!” she proceeds to giving me her number it turns out as I pulled out my phone it was dead…I see her again and asked what class she had. We started walking ending up at her locker deciding that since I had a charged my phone last period it would be a perfect time to close. We had two minutes to the bell I handed her my phone she types in her cell number.

Overall I learned something very important; don’t hesitate on approaching a girl you want to do it for a reason so act on it. It’s better to have a story fail or no fail than the regret of not doing it. In this case I was triumphant in getting her number, but will I be later on? What can I do to make sure things go smoothly?
