I think I've been abusing push/pull to protect myself, and it's hurting my relationships. That's my theory at least.

Back when I was a full out AFC I was getting push/pulled by this girl who friendzoned me and had me in full oneitis mode. After I cut contact and recovered, realizing the bigger picture, I started using push/pull in every interaction with an attractive girl.

Now, I'm starting to think it's hurting my ability to let girls get comfortable with me. I think I've been focusing on being an emotionless alpha too deep into the interaction. I'd love some clarification on what you guys think about push/pull.

When is the right time to use push/pull? At what point in a relationship with a girl should you lighten up on the push/pull, only using it to punish/reward behavior?
