Hi guys, typical BB on the path to improvement here. My wake up moment was when I went to grad school and noticed how chicks were somehow always eager to talk to me, sit near me, introduce me to their friends. So I am trying to unplug myself and I'm now working on that, started lifting, improving myself and it feels great, lost 20lb the past 3 months and now I need new clothes. I read the sidebar a few months ago but I can't recall anything regarding the attitude described below.

So, I'm mid thirties and I noticed that women my own age, I'm not sure how to describe it, let's say try to make me qualify myself to them. On the other hand younger women, who are actually much better looking and more interesting than the other group, seem to be doing the opposite. This seems to occur regardless of them being interested in me or not, single or taken, it's just a general attitude thing.

For example, the ones my own age can be argumentative, would interrupt me, give me unsolicited advice, would rarely compliment me. The ones who are 5-10 years younger than me often want to hear everything I've got to say, never interrupt me, ask me for advice, find me interesting, would often compliment me.
