Text Game trick for iphone users (possibly for other phones as well)

Here's my trick I use when texting people, girls or guys: I go to my phones settings and turn on "Do Not Disturb."
Why?
.
1.) Because it makes me less eager to check the phone. I get used to not hearing it beep whenever I get a text.
2.) Also, the later I read the text message, the later I'd respond. Stops me from coming off as needy and annoying.
3.) the phone is no longer such a big distraction. more focus on doing what you're doing.

I just looked up text game, and this post is exactly what I have in mind, except mine uses Do Not Disturb rather than airplane mode. Both are great!
Try it out for a while. It works great!
