Hi all,
This is my first field report, since it's recommended I figured I should try it out. Firstly let me say that I'm not actively trying to seduce women every night of the week that I'm out. I just quite like reading this subreddit for the behavioural aspects and the stories. I like rooting for you guys! The tips I pick up from here is basically just in passing. But who knows, I might just start taking this seriously.
Anyway my report: I'm just home from spending a month or so abroad and on Thursday some friends had arranged that we go for drinks in an old rock bar that we used to spend all our money in back in its hay day. When we got there I remembered why I stopped going in the first place, the atmosphere is rubbish. That was fine, I was with a good group of people and we tend to make our own entertainment anyway. The upstairs bar had full priced drinks which was annoying because when we used to go regularly it was the cheapest place in the city. We found out then that the downstairs bar had cheaper drinks - but you had to pay in. All my friends rush off to pay in and get cheaper drinks. Since I already bought a full drink I guarded the table (not that there was many people there to take it).
So after a half hour my glass is empty and I make the tedious task of getting up, going down a flight of stairs, hand over money to some random person just to use a cheaper bar. I'm glad I did. I queue up behind some people paying in and there, behind this crappy cash register is an incredibly attractive 9/10 blonde with a very cute smile. As its my turn to pay I hold strong eye contact with her, and as I'm handing over my money give her a firm solid "Hello" and a nod. She reciprocates by smiling and telling me she needs my wrist for a stamp. That was it engagement over. I left for the bar for my cheaper Jack Daniels.
Fast forward an hour or so, I've had a number of JD's and I'm slightly buzzed and in dire need for a piss. Walking to the bathroom I notice that the casher girl is sitting there reading a book. I continue on to the bathroom, she didn't look up anyway. As I come out of the toilet, without even thinking about what I was doing or saying I ask her " Hey what are you reading, I hope it's not 50 shades of grey" she looks up and laughs and says "no but it's just as shit". That started off our conversation for the next 40 minutes, I stood there progressively getting drunker while talking and listening. She seemed like a genuinely nice girl, who was quite open and honest. I kept the conversation lighthearted and joking. She asked me what I did I told her I just graduated as a Scientist and I'm looking for work. She then took my number because her dad runs a small environmental lab that she could ask about a job for me. I was genuinely quite interested in this, but I could't help but think that there was more to her asking me for my number. She had a similar story that she did engineering and was also looking for work.
With that the conversation was winding down, on one or two occasions some my friends bumped into me and was like "heyy is this where you've sunk off to?" etc. This is where things go a bit downhill, at one or two points she was asking "so where are your friends?", then her supervisor came down to tell her that she is free to go. While they were talking I kinda stood there awkwardly. He seemed younger than me so I tried engaging with him to assert some form of dominance, I asked him what time the bar closes at. At this point I'm trying not to slur words, my brain is working fine but my body is starting to get drunk.
Her and her supervisor round the corner for a second, I waited there for her to come back. I knew to leave but I waned to say goodbye and thanks and that I hope to hear from her about that job offer. When she did come back she didn't really stop and started climbing the stairs. I kinda just said from the bottom of the stairwell "Hey thanks again, and let me know if you hear anything". Hard to explain but she just stopped for a second and was kind like "yeah ok" and continued.
That was that.
So my thoughts on all of this,
In retrospect I overstayed my welcome. I should of left 10 minutes earlier on a higher note. I didn't pick up on the hint of her asking where are my friends, and some others. The reason behind this was that the conversation was flowing quite naturally and there was no awkwardness until at the end when her supervisor came.
I possibly may have gotten her into trouble, it was her first day and she spent nearly an hour talking to some random drunk stranger. - I have no evidence for this except for the personality change after talking to her supervisor before leaving.
Its possible I said something stupid and offensive as I was getting pretty drunk by the end of the conversation.
As I was saying at the start of this, Im not really out to seduce people but I might develop an interest in it. I don't know how to look at this encounter, it went well but I should of ended it sooner. As of yet I haven't received a call/ text from her - nor did I ever expect to. I mean I'm a realist, a sober girl taking my number in a bar for a job offer isn't gonna call after an abrupt end to our encounter.
So any thoughts on this? Personally if I can keep up the 70% of that whole ordeal I'd be happy. What do you guys make of this?
Oh and NO TOUCHING!! Yeah thats a major hurdle I need to get over, I am very very bad and uncomfortable about touching people, I always feel people need to have their space and I know and understand the importance of it, I just need to get over my mental block about kino.
Thanks and happy seducing
TLDR: Met a casher girl in a rock bar, she took my number for a alternate job. Had a great conversation that ended kinda abruptly and on a negative note/attitude.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
