this is actually really simple.

You are either sexualizing the conversation and constantly escalating to new territory, or you aren't. Humor and the rest doesn't really matter or come into it.

Whether it is humor, intellectual conversations, being playful, being nice or any other crap that guys are dealing with, it always boils down to whether they are sexualizing and escalating or not.

Do that, and you'll be fine being funny and using humor.

Unsolicited girl advice. I recently went on a first date with someone who had me splitting my sides with his smart-ass self. It was all I could do to keep myself off him. If your being hilarious while slyly stroking her leg or brushing her arm, no words are needed. The serious romantic talk is even more of a turn on after you start kissing a girl.
