I work in construction and I’m from a different country out of 150 employees

Usually guys crack a shit ton of jokes and I don’t mind it or get butt hurt by them even find it funny and A&A all the time.

A week ago I went to a new job site and there’s this one dull boring ass dude that just doesn’t know how to stop bringing shit up about me being from a different country.

His “funny” insults are dull and not even his original. He literally reuses other people’s jokes and it’s just so fucking stupid. Past couple of days I’ve been pressing him back making fun of him etc. and he just gets so butt hurt about it saying shit like “shut the fuck up bitch” and making your mom jokes. The mom shit kinda gets to me not gonna lie. The outbursts are fine. It’s construction, typical conversation.

But since the mom shit kinda gets to me I started talking about his wife and today he got so fucking upset over me calling him a faggot here’s the dialogue: H - “What did you say??” M - “you heard” H - “I didn’t actually, if you got something to say say it to my face and back it up” This took me by surprise M - “ooo somebodies maddddd you alright little buddy?” H - “I am mad, I don’t fuck with you” M - lol “alright dude” And then I went back to work

Not sure where to go from here, he acts like a buddy that just shit talks which I do too but don’t dish it out if you can’t take it.

I’m honestly not trying to fight because not worth it plus he’s ex military but if it comes to it it’s whatever.

Any suggestions on how to go about tomorrow? I could care less if we’re not buddies. Thanks
