Last night me and a friend of mine from down the hall(We're freshman in college and have only been here a few days) got bored and decided to go out and have a smoke. Just as we were finishing up and getting ready to head back to the dorm a group of three girls(one noticeably drunk) start heading towards us. Just as they're about to pass we just naturally say what's up and continue on with our own conversation but rather than just saying hey and continuing on her way the rather shitfaced one turns around and drags her friends back to talk to us. The one friend HB8 seems to clearly think that they're annoying us and starts urging her friend to let us go. I catch her eye and put on my smirk and assure her that its fine. We start talking a little bit and I instantly knew I had done something right. She cant get enough of me, we continue to talk for a couple more minutes when my friend mentions something about how we were just about to head back. HB8 invites us to walk back with them(about two minutes) so naturally we do. However, once we stood up they were already about 20ft ahead of us. I turn to my friend and tell him that im about to go for HB8. We catch up to them and I approach from the side and start asking her some things about stuff that went on on campus last year(im a freshman shes a sophomore) without breaking eye contact the entire time. As were talking I start to "accidentally" bush our arms and back of the hands as we walk, eventually leaving the hands touching slightly longer than one normally would. We get to me and my friends hall when just as we're about to split off I look her in the eye, give her a smirk and ask for her number. She's thrilled but rather than taking my phone she hands me hers and I put mine in. As soon as I give her back her phone she opens her arms for a hug(I take the opportunity to kino her lower back) and I instantly get the impression that nothing better could have happened to her that night.

The whole ordeal lasted less than ten minutes and I think I did really well with escalating the kino and developing as much attraction as possible in the short amount of time. However, it could have been done much better. Eye contact and the "smirk" definitely played a huge role here because it took her by surprise with the first words that came out of my mouth.
