I have a history of being "that guy" that girls cheat on their away-boyfriends with.
Anyway, there are 4 girls in my school. For the sake of organization, let's just call them 1,2,3 and 4.
Girl 1's boyfriend is much older, much stronger, and half a country away. 1 seems to be more drawn to me than before. I've known of her for close to 10 years but just in the past 2 or 3, I've really gotten to get to know her. She's very assertive with her presence, she's just a very strong and dynamic personality. She's the "out of my league" girl that most guys are either too scared to approach, or think they have what it takes so they crowd around her only to get shot down time and time again. Very rarely does she approach a guy...and she's approached me several times. Anyway, a bunch of us from school will just be sitting around having a discussion. When someone's speaking, they'll look around at everyone but 1....1 focuses on me, and me alone. When she's talking, her eyes go from blank space to me. She's speaking generally, to the whole group, but her eyes are fixed on me. I say a joke, she uproars in laughter. I have something to say, she leans in to listen. I've tried contacting her since, through text, and it's hit or miss. I don't think too much of it. I'm aware of the problems with "text game" and as someone who once suffered from "WE TALKED A LOT THE PAST FEW DAYS, WHY ARE YOU NOT TALKING TO ME ANYMORE"-itis, I'm watching my "Text game" a bit more. I don't know if actually nothing is going on and I'm just taking my fantasy and imposing it onto reality, or if there's something really going on there. OH, and 1 more thing. That same conversation we were all having, there was a point where I was standing sort of by her, while she and everyone else, girl 2 included, were sitting down. I caught her eye "wandering" a couple times. Directly afterwards, 1 and 2 would look at one another and share a giggle. Again, something or nothing?
girl 2 I've only known 2 for 2 years. Holy crap, she's gorgeous. She, too, has a boyfriend but he goes to that same school. The problem is, because of class conflicts, he's rarely ever around. She's stuck in the lobby of our building just alone and bored. She's had one or two guys try their luck, they'd hang by her all the time, invite her out to lunch several times, but nothing. Now, I know her boyfriend. He's a really cool guy. We have identical goals, when it comes to school. Anyway, similar things with girl 2. I talk, she actively listens. She laughs "too much" at my jokes. She'll go out of her way to sit next to me, she's motioned at how soft her dress is once when I was around, complimented her on her dress, and sat down next to her. Either she subconsciously flashes her legs at me, or I subconsciously just focus on her legs. I catch her looking at me, out of the corner of my eye, quite a few times.
Girl 3 I've known of for 3 years, only just getting to know her this year. She used to go out with this reckless, rockstar kind of guy and now she's going out with Mr. Christianity, who also goes to school there. He and I are close because he's always approaching me to talk and I'm way too friendly/empathetic for my own good so I talk with him. Because my experiences around her haven't been as frequent as with the other girls, I don't have much to go on other than catching her looking at me, motioning for me to pay attention to her story, laughing more than usual at my jokes, blahblahblah.
Girl 4, I've known for 3 years. She's a bit younger than me so I never really looked at her as an "option" until this year when she turned 20. Her boyfriend is one of my closest friends, who just recently moved away to another school. It's only about 3 hours away, though. He and I are practically kindred spirits. We feel the same about a lot of things, we like the same things, etc. This girl, on more than one occasion, has had no problem with "showing off her new dress" to people, directly in front of me. Just this other day, I went to a wedding. A lot of my school friends were there because we all knew the guy getting married. I show up a bit late, so there were no more seats left. I'm walking down the aisles, saying hi to everyone. I'm shaking people's hands, I'm hugging then, and I turn around. 4 is just staring me down, with a smile. Her boyfriend is sat right next to her, just staring off into the distance. I give her a smile and a nod, and I pat her boyfriend on the shoulder and shake his hand.
Around school, I like to play little social experiments with people. I like to think I'm pretty good at reading people and peoplewatching, so I like to just subconsciously mess with people. Anyway, these 4 girls have had absolutely no problems laughing at their boyfriends' expense. I've had some of them following me around the building as I'm talking. They mirror me on occasion (arm folding, leg crossing, looking away out the window, etc).
Am I just building up a fantasy in my head, or is something substantial going on? Something else I wanted to point out, I've been recently getting a lot of my self-confidence back, after a tough break-up. I'm more confident in how I present myself, and with how I look. I like who I am again.
