Right so I'm going to start off by saying that I am usually hugely against self bursting posts but today I'd like you to hear me out.
I have always been a guy lacking in self confidence but for no reason other than my perception of the world. I always just figured it was down to my looks or down to my interests in relation to everybody else.
We live in a world of technical miracles and I figured it was time to attempt to add my own. We have so much technology around us, so why do the dating sites currently surrounding us fail to capture the one fundamental element of attraction?
The problem with dating sites today is the inundation of males swamping females for attention. Until the online dating perception is shifted this is likely to remain a problem.
I have attempted to create something new that will help those like myself, find their confidence and meet women who appreciate them for their appearance.
This trial is initially going to be offered to students where they will be able to match with people within their Universities. If this proves to be successful then I'd love for this concept to be adopted into a much larger scale.
I am a student currently studying in the UK and wrote this application during my summer vacation. /r/seduction is the first place I have mentioned my new site.
We can all agree that physical attraction pays a huge part in the initial equation of attraction (especially online). My new app hopes to simplify this by filtering out those who we are not physically attracted to.
How will this help? a) Start approaching girls whom you would never attempt to try it on with otherwise. There is zero risk of public humiliation yet you may find that they like you back. b) Men and women using the site will be able to choose whether or not they would like to initiate a conversation with an individual. If and only when the feeling is mutual will the progression occur. c) Particularly attractive individuals will not become inundated with messages from others as the feeling must be mutual in order for progression. d) We start talking to people online who we know immediately are interested in us based on our appearances (the fundamentals of attraction)
The web app I have created asks you to log in via Facebook. I have done this for a number of reasons:
. It helps to vastly increase the user base of the application . It removes the need for monitoring user pictures. . It makes it easy to find people nearby in your University.
The app will never post on your Facebook wall and your Facebook friends will never know that you are using the app (providing your app privacy settings are using the default settings).
For those that have read this far the website is called http://www.iwoulduni.com and I would greatly appreciate your comments/feedback on my work so far and any suggestions for improvement.
Thank you so much for reading!
TLDR: I have created a new web app to help University students get dates (http://www.iwoulduni.com) but please read the post for full details.
