I don't really know anyone else who will get the significance of this so, here i am. I used to have a lot of social issues and consequently confidence issues. I have asperger's and never had many friends, blah blah blah, you've heard it before. Both because of stuff I've seen on here and other stuff around the internet, I've been trying to improve my social skills for about a year now. I'm in a good sized university right now and every once in a while I like to try sitting with a random person (Usually a girl) at lunch or just whenever I have time and talk to them as part of my skill building. Well, today I sat with a random girl at a table outside and started talking to her and next thing I know i'm telling her about how I go swing dancing regularly (also started to improve social skills) and she talks about how she always wanted to try it. I tell her about the dances coming up and she says she will definitely try to make it to the next one. Well, a few minutes later she gets a call and has to leave. SO, I get up and get ready to head to class when she asks for my number. I'm kind of dumbfounded at this point though I didn't show it. I've only been asked for my number (socially) about 2 times before and not in circumstances like this. So I give her my number and she texts me her name. Then I tell her to text me if she has any questions about the dance and offer to help her with some other stuff she mentioned that I had done before. At this point , we both walked away and my day continued on as normal.

This has never really happened before and its nice. I'm not used to people taking me into consideration or taking social initiative with me. Its weird but, its nice and a real confidence booster.

Now, did she have any flirty intentions behind this? I don't know, probably not and I certainly wasn't expecting to even ever talk to her again much less exchange contact info. That's what I like about it, I was just going around being my normal self and was asked for my number by a girl( Who was freaking hot by the way) without even trying. It was nice.
