I'm not sure where this post is going, probably just a rant!

Due to work hours (6/7 nights every week), coupled with a relative lack of money (4 hour shifts, expensive rent..), night game is something I can't do much of right now. Excuses, excuses... Anyway, I use tinder and pof to supplement the almost zero real life gaming. I have met with a few girls off both since I moved here 6 weeks ago, only fucked one (who I found pretty hot but had low self esteem). I swipe 'like' on every girl on tinder and get much less than 1% matches. More like 0.25% at an estimate. Even when I've messaged very average looking girls on pof who I consider overall maybe 5/10 if I had to rate them, still not always much interest. I'm tall, have an education, don't have an empty profile, don't mention my job so I can't be judged on that..... I can only conclude that it's my perceived looks. I use varied photos from clubs or recent travel (e.g. Holding a python, or eating food, or with a hot co worker in a club photo).

I believe the problem is how I look in photos. I'm quite pale, and I just look creepy in a lot of photos somehow. I do lift, and have done a few crossfit sessions, so I'm even getting pretty muscular. Am I just ugly overall maybe? Well, funny thing is a lot of people have mentioned that I'm good looking in real life (without me fishing for validation).

Also I don't know how relevant this is, but I went clubbing with a gay friend on NYE and got hit on a lot by guys of all types, some who seemed to have good game or be pretty attractive from my straight perspective. So really I'm not some hideous troll by any stretch. (or do gay guys have different requirements than what women look for? serious question)

So what can I do to work against this? Should I go as far as getting some professional shots done, or just forget the online thing? It's kind of really frustrating to not have any luck even when I really do feel like a great catch compared to some girls I've messaged out of boredom/desperation.
