I work well with a wingman but not alone. What mentality should I embrace when approaching alone?

I have the same problem but I find going out by myself and being by my self is the best way. It's an inner game issue

I had this same problem. Before you go out to woo the ladies try to meditate for 10 minutes while focusing on your breath and you should feel calm and very at ease while also being alert. This should give of a confident in control type of vibe. Plus when you speak be sure to "own it", don't stare at the ground and mumble but rather speak confidently and clearly while maintaining eye contact. Another thing that helps is not talking much about yourself a lot directly but instead imply your values through actions (nonverbal communication reveals shitloads of information about yourself) and make the time with her about HER, and really try to facilitate a comfortable environment she can feel safe and "open up" in. (Literally and metaphorically) Most importantly be in the moment and have fun without any goal in mind. Just talk to women for the sake of talking to women without any expectations. (Very Zen like) If you can do this (and you know you can) with or without friends around you are good to go and the women will think the same.
