Let's say you're willing to listen. Would you like to tell me why a number of well-known sociopaths/serial-killers were so successful in luring their victims? They were very skilled socially and had you known them yourself, you likely would've seen them as such. Hell, if you had the social skills of one of these people I'm sure you would be more understanding.

In reality, the whole idea is to emulate a "natural", or, someone who was born having impeccable social skills/confidence/etc. This doesn't mean becoming a different person or losing one's individuality, it means incorporating aspects of the "natural" into their own personalities until they become natural for the person. If somebody does something incongruent with their personalities/morals/whatever, it won't work for them. A guy who knows what he's doing will know who he wants to be and will constantly improve himself on the never ending journey of self-improvement, using the "natural" as figure for which to take inspiration from. The best of the best in any craft tend to emulate or learn from those who were once the best.

Everyone will run across "naturals" (extremely socially skilled men with no exposure to the PU community), and being around them and observing them can yield invaluable lessons.

To say everyone in the community is bad/morally unjust is nothing but a stereotype, but alas, a few bad apples have a tendency to sour the ignorant.
