First; don't beat yourself up about it, it'll do you no good and you'll miss the opportunity to learn from your mistake. That was a very recoverable situation. Once you realized what was happening, you should've simply excused yourself for a moment, gone over to introduce yourself and ask her if she wanted to join you and your crew for a drink. She may have declined but you would've had a great opportunity acknowledge the vibe you felt and to exchange numbers, or at least set up, getting back to each other before the night was over. A little damage control could've gone a long way. On the other hand, there is a great possibility of self sabotage in this scenario. Maybe, for whatever reason, you just weren't as ready for this possible encounter as you thought you were. Maybe getting this close was enough for you, this time.
